Warrior

The Warrior (originally called Fighter in most US titles) is generally the starting class for physical fighters. The Warrior usually has few abilities (until it evolves) and no magic, but can equip a majority of the weapons the party comes across, including large swords. Its primary function is as a stepping stone to a better job class.

    NAME: Cloud Strife
    OVERVIEW: Cloud is considered a Warrior because he equips a sword, and has no special abilities involving armor equipping.
    WEAPONS: Buster Sword
    LIMITS:
  • Braver - Leaping chop down the center at single enemy
  • Cross Slash - Slash three times at single enemy, causing damage and sometimes paralysis
  • Blade Beam - Sends a beam of energy at single enemy, which diffuses and splits to hit the remaining enemies.
  • Climhazzard - Shoves sword into single enemy then jump up, pulling sword through
  • Meteorain - Unleash meteors on all enemies
  • Finishing Touch - Create a tornado that sucks all enemies up for instant kill or slams them on the ground for damage
  • Omnislash - Attack fifteen times, causing heavy damage to all enemies (targeted randomly)

    OVERVIEW: Squall is considered a Warrior because he equips a sword, and has no special abilities involving armor equipping.

    NAME: Squire
    OVERVIEW: Ramza, Delita, and Algus are Squires and can equip Robes, Shields, Helmets, Armor, and Knight Swords, but not axes. They also have access to more abilities, including Ultima, a Black Magic spell.

  • Cheer Up - Increase Brave level (Ramza and Algus only)
  • Scream - Raise Brave, speed, physical attack power, and magic attack power (Ramza and Algus only)
  • Ultima - Massively damaging non-elemental magic spell (Ramza and Algus only)
    Reaction Abilities: Counter Tackle - Counter with Dash attack

    NAME: Mog Knight
    OVERVIEW: Though called a Knight, this is an initial starter class and has no defensive break abilities, thus it is considered a Fighter.

    NAME: Moogle Knight
    OVERVIEW: Mostly identical to Mog Knight from FFTA.
