Kinetic Art took place during the 1950's and 60's...it was a movement that essentially represented "art in motion"...kinetic artists wanted to work with art that would enable them to demonstrate the force and power of movement...it utilized the many different avenues of art...aspects such as sculpture...lighting...and superior technology...all played a role in the artists' creations...they unconventionally neglected the use of subject matters...and the traditional artistry tools like the paint and brush...the public enjoyed most of the work created by Kinetic artists...and much of their influence can be seen in today's post-modern movements through art...design...textiles...furnishings and yes even in architecture! This offering is for ONE large remnant of an extremely rare turquoise green blue colorway...not one I have seen since the early 90's at least...it is the kind of blue green that depending on what accessories you surround it with could exude more of a green turquoise or a blue green turquoise...either way it's turquoise and FABULOUS...pops of subtle palest pink...chartreuse...black and white...it was part of a deconstructed drapery panel that was in extremely strong and excellent condition...I've washed it to freshen it and is the true revelation of its strength...signed on the selvedge on some of the pieces is "Guaranteed Vat Prints"...measures 22 inches wide x 45 inches long with a nice deep 5 inch hem. Flawless.
