Final Fantasy Compendium

Worm

A giant tube with a mouth. Given the many Star Wars references in FF, this monster may have been inspired by the asteroid space slug from The Empire Strikes Back. It appears in deserts and uses Wind attacks. In FF5, the Sand Worm is a boss.
