(Weiila) This is another humorous FF-series crossover, this one taking a look on the villains from Kefka to Seymour trying to once and for all decide who's the most evil one. Of course, this means a lot of meaniness, Seph making use of the Masamune and all that jazz ;) Good stuff, too!
Akuo	Final Fantasy X - Suteki Da Ne (THE scene)	FF10	(Weiila) Short and sweet about, that's right, THE scene in Final Fantasy X. Stars Yuna and Tidus. Short, sweet and romantic.
Aldred	No Mercy	FF10	(Weiila)Post-FF8, Seifer is fleeing his inner and outter demons, which in the form of outter ones are hot on his trail and has taken away the last two people who cared about him. A brief story about loss and catharsis, with good characterizations. There's a bit of foul language, but nothing that doesn't fit the mood.
The Angel of the Lion	Songs of Yesterday 2 3	FF8	(Weiila)Unfinished as of yet, but the author promises to fix it as soon as possible. So give it a try, it's a nice one! In a world where memories are frail since GFs eat them for breakfast, keeping your head straight is rather important. But there are other dangers too, as the FF8 crew learns when Squall disappears and is found by Rinoa a few years later, his mind wiped blank of his earlier life. Picking up the pieces of the puzzle might prove very tricky.
The Angel of the Lion	To Love the Enemy 2	FF8	(Weiila)This is an AU (Alternate Universe) fic, based mainly on the idea that the old orphanage gang met each other again without the ravenhaired addition. Cid recieves a job from General Caraway; he wants a resitant leader kidnapped - unharmed. For this job, the headmaster of Balamb Garden appoints the best he's got, but the leader of the Forest Owls prove to be a difficult prisoner. And it doesn't get simpler when she provides information about sinister plans woven in Galbadia.
Anonymous	Bitter Ash 1 2	FF7	(Mazrim) Another fanfic about Tseng, also about his relationship to Aeris. Tseng is bitter because Aeris won't care about him, centered during the game, during the destruction of the Sector 7 Pillar and just before Tseng's death (hence the two parts)
Archone	Oedipal Oratory	FF7	(Mazrim) Not so much a fanfic as an interlude in the action of Final Fantasy VII, Oedipal Oratory effectively captures the relationship between Jenova and Sephiroth, and what each person feels in it. Sephiroth's love for Jenova, as well as Jenova's oddly mechanical way of thinking are at once insightful and chilling. A short read, but quite powerful, as with most of Archone's works. A very cool fanfic indeed.
Archone	Of Light and Love	FF5	(Weiila) Another mildly humorous piece by Archone, though it's also quite sweet (if a little twisted, perhaps. Hehehe... but it's too dang good to really bother) and tender. And deals with a plot normally only used for tragedies and dramas. A love triangle. Faris is in love with Butz. Lenna is also in love with Butz. And when both of them confront him on the same evening, the travelling hero has to face that his heart belongs to each one. But perhaps, with a bit of sisterly love and girl talk, there can be a solution that makes all three happy... Superb characterizations, especially the parts with Faris' pirate life situation are splendid.
Archone	Scent of an Esper	FF6	(Weiila)Christmastime in the world of Final Fantasy VI, after the end of the game. The children of Mobliz have been moved to Figaro castle where they can live safer and warmer, as well as under better care from not only Terra. But the children's "mama" has a bit of holiday trouble that the kids are and probably should be kept unaware of for quite a while longer. As another hero under Archone's care noticed, it's tough when two people fall in love with ya at the same time...
Artist_Signal	Gunblade Origins: The Legend of Renzokuken	FF8	(Weiila)The story of Squall and Seifer's gunblade training. Under master Shin, the two cadets are pressed to the limits against each other to learn the ancient art of their weapon of choice. There are a couple of truly beautiful gunblade duels in this one, definitely worth a look.
Ashbear	Crimson Lies 2 3 4 5 6 7 Epilogue	FF8	(Weiila)A fantastic epic by Ashbear, despite its length not spanning over more than a week of action. Ellone was killed in an attack against Garden, and following the events of that event Rinoa fled from her friends and disappeared. Now she is hunted down by the entire world, claimed to have gone mad and killed president Laguna's adopted daughter. And leading the hunt is Squall, until a certain blond induvidual shows up with some revolutionary new tidbits... Relationships will start, die, be reborn and die again, all by just one word, one sentence said or unsaid at the wrong moment while the group of warriors fight against the world and the horrifying visions that plague them in their dreams. Undoubtely one of the best fics in the archive!
Ashbear	Castles in the Sky 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15	FF8	(Weiila)Not your everyday FF8 story, this is a fantastic epic about the dire and drawn-out consequences of a simple misunderstanding. I also guarantee that you'll be about to fall off your chair when Squall is forced to socialize with an elderly woman with an interest... You probably won't be able to stop reading once you start, so make sure you have time :)
Ashbear	Dancing in Time 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15	FF8	(Weiila)Certain occasions force Squall to be the talking one of him and Rinoa, which is of course quite a strain for him. Of the mistakes of a headmaster, fear of spiders and lacking control of sorceress powers. Very tender and sweet about the relationship of the two and their attempts to find a safe ground they can share, with bits of humor spread throughout the story. And people walking into the room at the worst times, all the time... Each chapter is a story within itself with no real bonds to the last, even though they are connected by time.
Ashbear	Knight of Sunset	FF8	(Weiila)Ashbear presents a very sweet lil' romance story. A cute fic about Quistis relaxing on the beach in a sunset, when a familiar fellow decides to disturb her lonely peace. A gentle plot without any villains or action - if you don't count Seifer throwing Quistis into the ocean - with humor and cuteness makes a truly lovely story.
Ashbear	Place in This World	FF8	(Weiila)Okay, so I guess we all know that Rinoa isn't the most popular heroine out there, seeing her rather childish acting at times, and the romance with Squall seeming almost unnatural to the ones watching. However, in this fic both of them get to tell us their honest thoughts on the whole situation adn what lead up to their relationship. Interesting and nice character study.
Ashbear and Wayward Tempest	Halloweiner Story	FF8	(Weiila)A comedy "horror" story by the Copious Couple, on par with their (you know you love it!) "Welcome to the Balamb Garden Network". Ultimecia is back and ready for revenge... but time itself is obviously against her. ^^;; Due to technical difficulties you only get this little teaser for now. Sowwy.

But what happens when they do fail? Squall couldn't stop the sealing of Rinoa, and seven years have passed since the war against Ultimecia. The Lion has pushed himself in all ways possible to forget the Angel. Even getting himself a new love, spending sad days and nightsfull of nightmares in Trabia. But then Quistis gets a call in the middle of the night; Rinoa is being unsealed. A fantastic (if unfinished) story written by two skillful authors.
Ashbear and Wayward Tempest	Welcome to the Balamb Garden Network	FF8	(Weiila)Normally I draw a symbol against evil forces when seeing a "chatroom fic" since they're overall just to be branded free of plot. This one however is simply too hilarious to brush away. Insanity galore as the FF8 gang (including pets) have a less than normal conversation over a chat. Includes the strangest nicknames you'll (hopefully) see. And lets not forget the fact that Squall towards the end shows tendencies well known in the RPGC chatroom. Yes, it's a text file. After all, it's a chatlog.
Belinda De Rose Lynne	Chamber of Forever 2	FF8	(TD)In every life, there is everlasting misery weighing you down. Yet within each misery, there is joy. Want to know the whole thing? Read!
Bubbawheat	Bloody Claws	FF7	(Mazrim) A violent fanfic taking place in the Shinra mansion before the game of FFVII takes place, centered around Vincent. Some graphic scenes, overall pretty good writing though.
Caesar	Melchiah's Saga	FF8	(Weiila) The tale of a special unit Galbadian soldier who tries to keep a group of SeeDs away from the occupied Winhill, which works really well until the commander himself steps out, pissed as heck at mr. Galbadian. After waking up from the coma, Melchia recieves new orders from general Caraway. Really nice story, another good example of how original characters can be the leading characters in a fic without falling over on the dreaded Mary Sue-side.
Caleb Nova	On Earth as it is in Hell 2 3 4 5 6 7 Author's Note Epilogue	FF8	(Weiila)Fantastically well written and gripping Final Fantasy 8 drama, action and suspense merged with philosophical interpretions mixed with sparkles of humor. Don't expect very much of the latter though as this is a very dramatical tale that takes a look at the darker sides of human nature; fear, conspiracies and most importantly conquest of new areas. Squall and co. are in Deling in peacetalks with the goverment, meeting a strange man named Scott. His existance in the FF8 world isn't natural, but at least he isn't trying to cause trouble. Those who come after him, on the other hand... And if that wasn't enough, the intruders are breaking the laws of the multiverse by crossing the walls of dimensions.
Cat Alex	The at Times Tumultuous and Arduous Trials of Baralai and Seymel	FF10/X-2	(Weiila)An interesting story with a Romeo and Juliet theme, in which Baralai of New Yevon finds himself in a rather complicated relationship with a woman named Seymel, of the Youth League. The political complications are severe for both sides, as very few look kindly on such an union. And I dunno about you, but I love the title of this one.
Cats eye	All I wanna do is make love to you	FF8	(Weiila)A short but touching songfic. Rinoa flees from Squall after an argument, and driving along the road she sees an old friend standing in the rain. There's nothing graphic to see and the language is clean so don't get any strange ideas about this sweet little thing.
Cats eye	Decisions	FF8	(Weiila)Another dark fic, this one concerning Quistis life before she joined SeeD. Or rather, fled to Garden from her adoptive family with an alcoholic father and psycologically weak mother.
Cats eye	The other side of Nothing	FF8	(Weiila)The start of an alternate universe fic. Warning; VERY dark, so if you don't like that you better stay off this one. The outcome of the Sorceress war wasn't the best for the world in general. Galbadia now has all the wealth, Esthar is silent and the Centras are nearly gone. Trabia and Balamb are stuck in the back, filled with desperate people trying to survive in the spoils.
Cats eye	Overdue Goodbye	FF8	(Weiila)Once again a songfic (Cats eye is good at these!), This one is set five years after the battle with Ultimecia. Rinoa has left Garden since she couldn't live as a SeeD, and she's been asking Squall to come with her for the last two years. He has to make a decision, and it's not easy to say good-bye.
Cats eye	Papa Don't Preach	FF8	(Weiila)Songfic again, this one filled with a revolting feeling. Rinoa has to tell her father something, but he won't be happy to hear it. Still, she's not left hanging with her news. A strong and sweet piece.
Cats eye	Truly Madly Deeply	FF8	(Weiila)The sequel to Papa Don't Preach. Well, Squall asked the question. Rinoa waits with the answer though... and that's all I'm gonna say, you'll have to read it to find out! ;)
Cats eye	Why Won't the World Stop?2	FF8	(Weiila)Squall comes back from a job in Dollet, but he was in an accident. His head was damaged and he can't remember anything of his past life, locked in the mind of a child at best. Rinoa has to cope with him pretty much on her own as the other SeeDs goes on with their own lives. Only Zell and Edea are willing to help out. But slowly, Squall begins to remember.
Cody and Charles Farone	The World Goes to Hell and It's All Locke's Fault 2 3	FF6	(Weiila)Well, the title pretty much... says it all :) If you like really weird humor, this is a fic for you. I suppose all the characters involved can be grateful of is that Kefka isn't around anymore... There are two versions of part 2, but they are quite different from each other so I left both of them in. :) Hilarious. 8th March, changed the authros to the real ones. Added credits.
Christina Bruno	Reflections of Reno 2 3 4	FF7	(Weiila)The first part of a story about the life of Reno and Tifa after Meteor. Corel has turned into a huge gambling town and you can either make a fortune or loose your life there overnight. It's a harsh life for an ex-hero and ex-Turk, especially when one of them royally messes up and drags the other into it. Suggestive themes, but nothing really happens. I'd still advice children to skip this one, more due to violence.
Chun Li	Angel of Mine	FF7	(Mazrim) A short, sweet fanfic about Tseng and his love for Aeris. Very emotional at times, with very descriptive imagery and elegant wording.
Crack-Anne	Jerry Springer FF8 Style	FF8	(Weiila) Funkiest pen-name as of yet, I dare say... but in any case... Jerry Springer and relationships just doesn't mix well, I'm sure we all can agree on that. He's gonna need a lot of guards if he aims at sorting anything related to FFVIII out though, this just might be more than the talkshow can chew off...
Crack-Anne	Kiss Me	FF8	(Weiila) Though they are rare, there are still some more good song fics out there, apparently. I have surely said it before, but I really think that if you make a songfic, make it a LOT more story than song, as this one is another good example off. A cute romance story spanning two generations of Leonharts, accompanied by an occasional quote from Six Pence None The Richer.
Creepy Fellow	Until the End	FF8	(Weiila)Seifer recieves a letter from his old friends and "enemies", setting him off into a rather painful reflection of his actions. It's a short but very well-written piece, and you'll find yourself sucked into Seifer's thoughts as he goes through the list of senders of the mail.
Darkness Beckons	The God's Other Half	FF8	(Weiila)A highlevel SeeD by the name Aidin stumbles back to Garden from a sort of successful mission. He got the job done, though there is more trouble on the rise. Dragons are starting to act up, and that includes the one currently residing in Selphie's mind as well. Bahamut and he's brothers seem to be up to something. And there's a strange sorceress showing up in Squall's dreams, who demands that he becomes her knight.
demigod	I, Garland, Will Knock You All Down	FF1	(Weiila)Final Fantasy I deserves more attention I tell you, there's so much in there to poke at! Even the most famous villain's line in history of RPGs has a long way to go before it has been done to death, if you ask me. Especially if there'll still be fics like this, with a lot of humor, action, and an ending that will have you go "... WHAT?!" It's got it all, peeps!
Deth Star Apocalypse	A Time of Miracles	FFT	(Weiila)(Weiila)Not made in time for the special Christmas update, but here now for your enjoyment. A heartwarming tale about what the characters of Final Fantasy Tactics have done after the game, told through the viewpoint of Agrais one lonely Christmas eve. Friends long gone, not seen in a while are missed, but somebody might be considering leaving her a christmas present at least.

DomaDragoon	To Sleep, Perchance to Nightmare	Misc	(Weiila)A series of vignettes from various games, including Lufia 2, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 7 and more. The heroes sure are brave when they are awake, but in dreams their fears arise. Fear of failing, betrayal, loose a case against Squall...
drakonlily	Completion 1 2 3 4 5 6	FF7	(Weiila)A captivating tale about the Final Fantasy 7 gang after the end of their battle against Sephiroth. New troubles arise with new (and an old) villains that are set on Reno and Cloud. The plot is good, and the relationships between the characters are truly innovative. Nothing is like it appeared to be in the game; Vincent is Reno's father for one and ol' Vinny's relationship with Lucretia is nothing like we're used to see. And even though things are different than usual, drakonlily writes it so that it makes perfect sense.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Booya Sucka!	FF8	(Weiila)Well whaddaya know, the man who's commonly known here as a thriller-tragedy writer can do humor as well! A very enjoyable story about a superhero in the world of FFVII, courtesy of... Hojo of all people. Oi, for an evil mad scientist he has a knack for creating good guys. Anyway... no villain will be safe on the street anymore now that Booya Sucka is put into action!
Ersatz Sobriquet	150 g	FF1	(Weiila)A second fic considering the original Final Fantasy game by Ersatz. Now taking a look on how the heroes came to assemble he brings us a bit of drama, action, humor and romance, all in one story. And with a party seldom used in these kind of fics; Black Belt, Thief, Red Mage and White Mage.
Ersatz Sobriquet	2012 AD	FF8	(Weiila)PuPu is a cute fellow, isn't he? But he comes from an advanced race after all, and when multiple times proven that humanity is beyond all known cruelty those peaceful sweethearts have to take action. The title and fic were inspired by the X-Files, so don't expect a story about happy little aliens dancing around among the flowers.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Bullets Cry of Red Tears	FF7	(Weiila)Our tragedy horror writer is back! In this fic, Ersatz opens up the mind of a Shinra soldier, following the thoughts of a Random Encounter, a bit like in Compulsory Duty. Very angsty. If you like Ersatz' stories, you'll definitely like this one as well.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Wanton Violence, Brazen Immorality and An Unwanted Recourse	FF7	(Weiila)The dark and violent semi-sequel to Bullets Cry of Red Tears. The little girl who lost both her parents have grown up into a beutiful but bitter woman with only one goal in sight: revenge. She'll stop at nothing to ease the pain she feels, and as she finds out that it was a certain Vincent Valentine who killed her father she starts threading a path covered in blood as she trains for the day she can kill the murderor. Younger visitors should not read this one.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Cherry Pop	FF7	(Weiila)Short and lovable story about one of the FF7 characters who's dreams didn't really come true as she wished after the game, with the sudden insanity of a pained man. But in the midst of the ashes somebody else steps into the picture to fill the hole left by the one who departed.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Compulsory Duty	FF1	(Weiila)About time somebody gave those little pests... poor little buggers some attention. All those imps... just exactly why do they attack the light warriors when it's pretty evident that they don't stand a chance? Pretty sad about one of them.
Ersatz Sobriquet	How Ironic	FF8	(Weiila)The gripping tale of love, hate and tragedy, a woman's jealousy which leads to disaster, as the title implies very ironical disaster. Not for Rinoa fans...
Ersatz Sobriquet	So I Pulled	FF8	(Weiila)Once again a superb psychological thriller by Ersatz, and once again I have to bring out the NOT FOR YOUNGER READERS sign. In this story, the last one you'd expect is cracked down by pain and finds a radical solution to all the problems the person sees in the world.
Ersatz Sobriquet	The Rain Never Touched Me	FF9	(Weiila)Muses a la one of the more bad-boy type guys of the FF-heroes; Amarant Coral. Bounty hunter, ninja, species unknown? He's got attitude, and he's not fond of the people around him. Excellent characterization.
Ersatz Sobriquet	To Appease the Gods	FF8	(Weiila)After the ending of FF8... Seifer has commited yet another crime, one he cannot find forgiveness for among the humans, since it hasn't much to do with his own race. No, the crime has brought the hatred of the GFs upon him, therefore he must face them all and seek forgiving.
Ersatz Sobriquet	Vanilla Nights	FF6	(Weiila)Considering who wrote this fic, being the master beside d_Galloway of horror, this is a surprisingly tender and warm story about the man in black from Final Fantasy VI; Shadow. A look at his life - without getting sentimental, mind you - he does in the end come to the conclusion that right now, in a time of peace, things can actually turn out alright. Not perfect, but good enough.
FF-orbiter	Search for the Emeral Weapon	FF7	(Weiila)Oh, don't you just hate those darn Weapons? Well, they can be more complicated to beat than you thought. This is what eventually will turn out as a strategy guide to beat the merm... I mean, Emerald. And humorous along the way :)
Filthy	Healing	FF7	(Weiila)An interesting fic, another good example of how an author created character can have a leading role in a fanfic - without being one of those pesky Mary Sues. A surgeon by the name Rei Desai buys the ShinRa mansion of Nibelheim, unaware that she gets a stingy vampire-lookalike included for no extra charge. An interesting story about how to make renovations and try to make use of a mad scientists old lab, the perils of a former breast-enlargement surgeon, and maybe a little romance between a couple of heroes that weren't part of the main plot...
Filthy	The way it Should be	FF7	(TD)This fic is kind of like poking the brain with a long stick. Strange, but surprisingly not very painful, at least if you bear with it for a bit.
FrijolDorado	Black Mage's Whining Session	FF1	(Weiila)The song/poetry/parody writer is at it again! In this one, it's our dear Black Mage brooding over his life and his lack of face and feet. Humorous, but with a bit of a mangled but still grim undertone.
FrijolDorado	Hojo's Karaoke Number	FF7	(Weiila)Didn't you see the title? Run for your lives, it's the Apocalypse!! A song about some unexplained stuff in FF7. Considering the imagenary setting of hte thing, read at your own risk...

This is an Alternate Universe story, in which Final Fantasy VI has been turned into one of ye olde gangsta' movies, with Locke as the leading char - a typical "she was a tough broad, but she needed my help" kind of detective. It's got drama! It's got action! It's got romance! It's got Kefka leading a mob squad of killers under "Godfather" type Gestahl while governor Edgar Figaro only can wring his hands! And don't drink tea while reading this. Just a kind piece of advice from a lady who spluttered with laughter whenever another character stepped into the scene in his/her twisted role. They all stay true to their professions - in a way.

It's the sequel to Of Love and Gunsmoke, and the Second World War is in its final stages, as the FFVI heroes aren't safe from drafting either - darn Herr placing Figaro in USA just do a gangster flick outta the game, eh? Don't look at me like that, gang! A rather brutal story as it never was very pretty by the front, and no romanization of it in sight either.
